About the area: Silverscape lives in Ryedale, North Yorkshire and is parked in a small village near the beautiful towns of Helmsley and Pickering. Situated near the stunning landscapes of the North York Moors, in Silverscape you could explore the region’s picturesque scenery, rich history, and vibrant local culture. Just a short drive away are Helmsley, a charming market town, the Cleveland Way National Trail, Pickering, The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (with its magical connection to the world of Harry Potter). The historic city of York is within easy reach, as is Castle Howard, one of the grandest stately homes in England. Silverscape is your cosy home on wheels, equipped with all the amenities you need for a comfortable and luxurious stay. Whether you're planning to hike through the heather-clad moorlands or visit the coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough. Silverscape is also within a 2 hr drive to the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, Northumbria and the Peak District.

 

Description of Beds: Silverscape sleeps up to two adults and two small children. There is a fixed double bed at the rear (6ft long) with a permanent mattress (4-inch foam & 3-inch memory foam) and a pull-out double sofa bed at the front that can be easily transformed into another double bed suitable for small children.

 

Description of Seating: There are three belted seats in the front (including the driver) with headrests and two further belted seats (with headrests) in the rear. All five seats have three-point belts.

 

Description of Electrical Setup: Silverscape is set up for off-grid adventures and comes equipped with a Smart solar system, allowing you to power your devices even when you're off-grid. There is a full Victron energy electrical system including a 360w isolated DC-DC charge, Multiplus 12/1200 12v Smart solar Mppt 100/30, Smart shunt 500a Lynx power with Digital multi control, a 230v GX Roamer 100ah lithium battery and hook-up for mains power that can be used at campsites. To plug in you can use the double 230v socket, double USB 230v socket, and an extra single socket. There are 3 reading lights with USBs, warm white LED spotlights, a 12v 85-litre compression fridge, a 24-inch LG smart TV, DAB Bluetooth radio, and a diesel boiler and LPG for the hob.

 

Parking: Parking for one car at the pick up/drop off location is available when you hire Silverscape.

 

Cooking Equipment: Silverscape has everything you need to cook up a feast, on two gas hobs, a kettle and a toaster. Plus 4 porcelain mugs, cafetière, 4 melamine plates, 4 side plates, and 4 bowls. There are serving bowls, cutlery for 4, cooking utensils, a bottle opener, 4 acrylic wine glasses, 4 acrylic tumblers, a chopping board, a large frying pan, a medium saucepan, a colander, and 4 table mats.

 

Water and Sanitation: Silverscape is fitted with a 90-litre freshwater tank. A hose is located in the garage of the van (with attachments to fit most taps). Silverscape has a built-in toilet, sink and shower, so you won’t have to worry about finding facilities on your journey. The hot water tank will hold enough for a shower lasting around 7 minutes. In addition, there is an outdoor shower to wash your dogs off or yourself! There is also a mini Belfast sink in the kitchen area with a mixer tap.

 

Audio Equipment: Silverscape has a 24-inch LG smart TV and Roberts BT DAB Bluetooth radio.

 

Type of Heating: Silverscape has a Truma Combi 4e diesel heater and boiler with air ducts around the van controlled with a touch display screen for controlling the temperature. There is also a Maxx fan deluxe with a smoke lid and blind.

 

Pet Information: 2 small, well-behaved dogs (or 1 medium-sized dog) can be accommodated.

 

Conversion Story: Silverscape began life as a humble kitchen fitter's van (albeit one with air-con in the cab). We bought her after a long and careful hunt. We fell in love with her because she had very low mileage and was in excellent condition. She was converted in 2024 by Jorvik Van Conversions in Fadmoor, North Yorkshire.

 

About the Owners: We (Amanda and Rebecca) met at the school bus stop in 2014 and after our daughters became best friends, we started to spend more and more time together. Fast forward nine years and over a Chinese one night, the idea of buying a van and converting it into a campervan was born. Neither of us would have had the courage (or money!) to do this alone so with the support of the two Johns (our husbands) our dream became a reality. We both spend hours pouring over reviews when booking holidays so it was our goal to create a van that would meet our exacting standards!
